… for the murder of trade union officials and the impunity of the murderers
THAT’S ENOUGH …BASTA
The blatant and inadmissible violations of human rights and in particular, the violations of union rights and the freedom of association are a denial of justice and bring disgrace on those who commit those violations and on their protectors.
The systematic murder of trade union officials and human rights defenders is an act of barbarity of another age and is all the more incredible because the persons who committed those crimes enjoy an impunity that allows them to carry on with their crimes without being bothered by the authorities and the Colombian judicial system.
We demand that an end be put to this state of terror and we ask for the advent of a society based on tolerance, social justice and peace, a society that Colombian workers and citizens long for.
